Hello, everyone! Thanks for stopping by here!
About this blog
Mom Doctor in Japan is a blog for mothers abroad, sharing insights about maternity life in Japan, life hacks for dual-income families, and tips for a healthy lifestyle.
Who is Kay?
I’m Kay, a mom and doctor in Japan.
I was born in the 1990s and live in Japan as a Japanese national.
I became pregnant with twins during my fifth year as a doctor.
Before that, I worked as an internal medicine physician and lived alone due to my job, while my husband and I lived apart.
Even during my pregnancy, I continued living alone, and at 24 weeks of pregnancy, I started my maternity leave and moved in with my husband.
Currently, I am on maternity and childcare leave, studying for my board certification exams and conducting research for my graduate studies from home.
Why I started blogging
This is my first pregnancy, and being pregnant with twins has made it even more unique, leading to many unexpected situations. I often felt anxious during my pregnancy.
Additionally, I have struggled with balancing my medical career and motherhood.
To address these challenges, I started this blog to share insights about maternity life in Japan and life hacks for dual-income families, hoping to help others overseas who face similar concerns.
As I enjoy Japanese cuisine, I also plan to share healthy meals and recipes for pregnant women and children.
This blog is for first-time mothers, twin moms, working moms, and all women everywhere.
Enjoy reading!
